I think the hottest it got this summer was 95. I didn’t even go swimming in the lake once.

While we’re expecting some Alaskan air in the PNW this weekend, it’s not cold enough to force me to switch to my winters yet. Gonna try to hold off until after October. Plan is to get the Queen fully repainted (except roof) before November.

I usually put my snows on in mid November when it’s consistently below freezing in the morning. I’m guessing it will warm up next week, and I can always drive the subaru.

True story: Decades ago my father used to drive out there on business a lot from the midwest. Even in July or August he’d dutifully put chains, some salt/sand and a snow shovel in the trunk before he’d leave. We’re staying back on the farm, it’s 100 degrees out and asking “Dad, it’s the middle of the summer. Where are you going that needs a snow shovel????”

His one word response: “Montana”

Agree to agree.  It’s still better than 95% and 80% humidity, but as it gets cooler, I’m going to be happier.  :)
